General Information
From July 1 – 7, download the free Scavify app on your smartphone or mobile device to participate in the Historic Philly Scavenger Hunt throughout Philadelphia’s Historic District.
The Historic Philly Scavenger Hunt invites visitors and locals alike to celebrate America’s birthday week by exploring where it all began. Enjoy a fun, interactive experience while learning about America’s most historic sites. Players can answer trivia questions and complete tasks like sharing photos and checking in via GPS at attractions throughout the Historic District to accumulate points and win prizes. You can also share your scavenger hunt experiences on social media using #HistoricPhilly.
How to Get Started
1. Download the Scavify app
Search for "scavify" in the App Store or Google Play or go to download. Note: for iPads you must search "iPad and iPhone apps".
2. Search "Historic Philly Scavenger Hunt"
Open the app, sign up to create an account, search for "Historic Philly Scavenger Hunt" and join the hunt.
3. Get Started!
Once you have joined the hunt you will be in the main game play screen. Scroll down to the list of "Tasks". You may now begin completing tasks and challenges. Good luck and have fun!

All attractions and historic sites referenced in the Historic Philly Scavenger Hunt are included on the Historic Gazette map, so pick up a free copy at the Independence Visitor Center at 599 Market St., or access it online to use as a guide to complete tasks!

All participants who earn 250 points will automatically be entered into a drawing for the GRAND PRIZE:
- One-Night stay at the Kimpton Hotel Monaco Philadelphia , 433 Chestnut St., Philadelphia
- Two Historic Philly Summer Combo tickets
Prize Redemption:
Prizes must be redeemed in person at the Independence Visitor Center, located at 599 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
Participants must show their smartphone or mobile device with their point level achieved to a Visitor Services Representative to redeem their prize.
Prizes are available to redeem July 1 – 8, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
Prize Terms & Conditions:
Participants must download and sign up for the Scavify App and participate in the Historic Philly Scavenger Hunt to qualify. Prizes are subject to availability, can change, and are as supplies last. One (1) prize per participant. All prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value. Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash, an alternative offer or combined with any other offer. The Grand Prize drawing(s) will take place on or after July 9, 2018 and the winners will be contacted via email. Other prizes can be redeemed starting July 1. Prizes must be picked up in person to verify the mobile device, and all prizes must be redeemed by July 8 at 6:00 p.m., or while supplies last.
